Advance deep-tech Services is a deep-tech enterprise that is activated in implementing and coordinating meaningful and innovative technological solutions. We provide advanced semantic technologies, including semantic data modeling, mapping, transformation, normalization, reconciliation, and querying, on design & implementation of research e-Infrastructures and on project management and technical coordination. Currently, we create an innovative product category, using semantic and Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning technologies in combination. Our portfolio includes big international e -infrastructure projects, whilst holding an expertise in Cultural Heritage and Biodiversity Research. Problem #1: Addressing Biodiversity Challenges The great reduction in biodiversity is one of the most important global challenges of our time. Whilst researchers struggle to deal with challenges linked to biodiversity and climate change, there is no available tool to facilitate their path towards research and experiments, making the outcomes poor in quality and results perspective. Problem #2: Preservation of cultural heritage and facilitation of the scientific community in Art research Many people and researchers are excluded from cultural heritage due to financial, geographical and digitization limitations. Even if a few researchers have access to some sources, they may not have the full picture of the subject they are looking at as the information are widely located around the world.

Solution & Product

Solution #1 Providing services for research communities which deal with biodiversity challenges supporting the creation of semantic big databases, allowing the integration, enrichment and user-friendly exploration of data. By deploying a deep-tech way of gathering data, as it is considered practically impossible on the one hand to store them in a central database and on the other hand to directly use the data stored in heterogeneous and different bases, researchers can implement research efforts easier and in less time. The outcomes are more accurate and enriched due to the multiple sources of usage. Currently, Advance Services combines the semantic databases with AI technologies. Solution #2 Digitizing thousands existing archives from different institutes and merging their databases. Implement a dynamic platform with innovative technologies, the users perform complex searches and get results in the context of a user-friendly environment. Therefore, the researchers gather all the useful and relevant information, enriched by several different stakeholders.

Traction & achievements

Today, Advance deep-tech Services has implemented a variety of demanding projects worldwide with very important achievements such as the creation of Pharos ArtResearch database, and LifeWatch ERIC semantic database. Through the deployment of these e-infrastructures, Advance gave the capability to researchers and citizens to search for biodiversity and cultural heritage data and information, minimizing research effort and required time and maximizing the outcomes. Due to our great performance, in 2023 our company received the new innovative business award at Innodays, organized by the Region of Crete.

Team & Why Us

Advance deep-tech Services team includes Computer Scientists and Software Engineers with experience in large scale infrastructure projects. Team members have strong expertise in designing and implementing high quality integrated information systems and applications. Furthermore, the scientific background of the team is justified by several publications (>50) in international conferences and journals. Economist, Communication Specialists are also part of the team.
