About

AerGlan Hellas was established to develop a state-of-the-art 50-ton Closed Loop Bio Algae production facility in Northern Corfu. The facility is designed to produce more than 200 metric tons of specialized bio algae annually, which will be processed into high-value products including bio fertilizers, fish feed, and animal feed. In parallel, the company will establish a dedicated Research & Development division focused on exploring additional commercial applications for algae-based products, including human nutritional supplements and sustainable biofuels such as aviation fuel alternatives.

Solution & Product

AerGlan Hellas has developed BioEnhancer, a cell-free biostimulant derived from the microalga Chlorella vulgaris. Unlike conventional fertilizers, BioEnhancer activates the soil microbiome, increasing nutrient availability, improving nitrogen efficiency, enhancing root development, and strengthening plant resilience against drought, salinity, and environmental stress. The product contains bioactive phytohormones and microbial signaling compounds that support regenerative agriculture while reducing fertilizer waste and environmental impact. BioEnhancer is CFIA-certified and OMRI-listed, making it suitable for organic and sustainable farming systems. The company also develops a closed-loop algae production facility in Greece using photobioreactor technology that captures CO₂ and converts it into agricultural bioproducts for farming, aquaculture, animal feed, and future biofuel applications.

Innovation & Scalability

AerGlan Hellas combines biotechnology, carbon capture, and regenerative agriculture into a single integrated platform. Its innovation is not limited to the product itself, but extends to the production system, scientific validation, and circular economy model. The company uses a closed-loop photobioreactor system that captures atmospheric or industrial CO₂ and converts it into high-value algae-derived biostimulants. BioEnhancer is based on a cell-free supernatant technology derived from Chlorella vulgaris, containing bioactive compounds that activate existing soil microbiology rather than introducing unstable microbial inoculants. AerGlan Hellas has strong growth potential because it operates at the intersection of several rapidly expanding sectors, including agricultural biologicals, regenerative agriculture, carbon reduction technologies, and sustainable food production. The company’s technology can be applied across multiple agricultural segments such as field crops, horticulture, hydroponics, aquaculture, poultry, and livestock. Its scalable closed-loop production system and scientific positioning create opportunities for expansion throughout Europe and other climate-sensitive agricultural regions. Future growth may also come from intellectual property development, carbon credits, biofuel applications, and environmental remediation technologies.

Traction & achievements

AerGlan Hellas Bio Tech I.K.E. was officially incorporated in Greece in February 2026 and has already secured land in Northern Corfu for the development of its closed-loop algae production facility. The founders have committed approximately €300,000 toward land acquisition and project development. The company has established cooperation with Canadian algae technology partners and developed a scientifically validated BioEnhancer product supported by international field trials and peer-reviewed research. Trial results across crops such as strawberries, corn, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and turfgrass have demonstrated significant yield improvements, improved soil biology, and stronger nutrient efficiency. Additional poultry trials in Canada showed improved growth performance and reduced mortality. AerGlan has also developed its commercialization strategy and long-term R&D roadmap for future applications in agriculture and environmental technologies.

Team & Why Us

AerGlan Hellas is led by an interdisciplinary founding team combining biotechnology, scientific research, operations, and sustainability expertise. Dr. William M. Fischer serves as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. He is a computational biologist and former Staff Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States, specializing in pathogen genomics, immunology, and bioinformatics. He is co-inventor of 34 US patents related to biotechnology and vaccine development and leads the scientific and R&D strategy of the company. Stephen Daly serves as Co-Founder and Managing Director. With a professional background in operations, media production, and green technology initiatives, he oversees business development, partnerships, project execution, and commercial strategy. Together, the founders combine scientific credibility with operational expertise to scale sustainable biotechnology solutions for agriculture and environmental applications.

Funding Needs

AerGlanHellas BioTech P.C. is seeking 165.000,00€ in initial funding to accelerate the development and commercialisation of its Closed Loop Carbon Capture Unit and other innovative Bio products. The investment will primarily support: •tfurther R&D into waste water purification and non invasive Biological solutions, to oil spill marine clean up and other actions for the product development across many fields: 75.000,00€ •tmarket expansion: 30.000,00€ •tkey hiring and infrastructure: 60.000,00€ This is in addition to the bootstrapped 250.000,00€ currently invested in the company, enabling the company to move from initial production and land purchase into distribution, onto full-scale productivity and intellectual property development.
