About

We are AmaDema, an advanced materials technology company focusing on the development of nanofibers and other nanomaterials for high performing and lightweight structures. Our technology is protected via a family of worldwide patents and a trademark registered in Europe and the U.S (NanoWeld®) under classes 22 and 24. The company was officially launched in Cyprus in 2017 and since then has built a pilot production line for NanoWeld® enhanced fabrics (dry and prepregs) capable of annually producing up to 50K sqm, funded entirely though own funds and grants exceeding €7.0M. Since December 2024, AmaDema has also registered in Greece for the establishment of large scale NanoWeld® enhanced fabrics production (>600k sqm annually) and the relevant research and development support for customization and customer satisfaction. We are a diverse founding team with an equally diverse and highly skilled team alongside us. Our lighter structures optimize energy and fuel consumption in various industries such as transportation, energy, aerospace, and defense, lowering carbon footprint of manufacturing processes as well as carbon footprint of structures in use.

Solution & Product

Aerospace, Transportation, Energy, and other fields using structural composites have a continuous need for lighter, yet stronger materials to reduce energy consumption, costs, and continuing pressure to comply with reduced CO2 emissions regulation, while addressing the limitation of available high performing materials that respond to increased demands for integrity and safety. NanoWeld®, our patented composite textile innovation technology, is inspired by the fractal structures found in nature (i.e. feathers) and leads up to 100% increased mechanical performance of and up to 20% reduction of weight when compared to the currently used carbon fiber composites with even greater improvements compared to metals. NanoWeld® can be applied to any type of textile, including carbon, glass and aramid. In transportation structures, the use of NanoWeld results up to 25% reduction in fuel consumption and up to 13% reduction in CO2 emissions.

Innovation & Scalability

The NanoWeld® product enhancement process is a new link in the composites’ supply chain that can be applied on any technical dry fabric, and can be further processed within the preceding links of the supply chain as any other common dry fabric. The process adds value to products of the supply chain preceding links. In order to deliver a novel approach to this, we developed a new machine hardware module that can be adjusted to any existing technical fabric production line, enhancing the textile in production with NanoWeld® technology.

Traction & achievements

Cumulative revenue 2019 - 2024 is €800,000+ (Sales Only). We won 5 major tenders from the European Space Agency (ESA) and partnering with AIRBUS D&S totaling €1,400,000, concluding by the end in 2026. Non-equity funding (grants), exceeding 7.0 M (2019-2027) Letters of Intent from major integrators, using advanced composite materials: Thales Alenia Space, Airbus D&S, Astar s.a. and more. Projected revenue in 2031 based on investment thesis estimated to exceed €100M.

Team & Why Us

AmaDema was founded by 3 co-founders (one female and two male) and is supported by a team of 17 highly skilled FTEs of which 42% are female. The founders plan to make an equity allocation to the senior members of the team to ensure that they continue to attract high caliber scientists. The growth strategy for AmaDema regarding NanoWeld® technology is to start with NanoWeld®-enhanced dry fabrics of higher value (i.e., carbon, aramid (Kevlar), etc.) and narrow use (i.e., aerospace, defense, etc.) and expand to NanoWeld®-enhanced dry fabrics of lower value (i.e., glass, filter media, etc.) and wider use (i.e., marine, filtration, etc.). High tech applications will demonstrate faster the benefits of our technology, creating a heritage for wider applications.

Funding Needs

Specific elements: ASK: €11M in 2026-2027 (Blended finance - €3M equity and €8M bank loan) in two tranches of 12 months apart; Projected revenue in 2032 beyond €100M; Projected (2025-2032) IRR 54% and MIRR 48%; Company Valuation: €16M
