AUTONOMA is a technology-oriented company focusing on research and development of methods and systems that aim on enhancing the autonomy of current and future unmanned systems. The company is staffed by research engineers and university professors capable of developing innovative autonomy solutions utilizing state-of-the-art technology and research. Solution & Product

AUTONOMA develops software solutions, offering a video-analytics platfrom for UAVs, called IKAROS, and an unmanned vehicle universal mission management software, called WARDEN. IKAROS is a software product designed for real-time object detection and tracking, featuring advanced object geolocation capabilities through the use of Digital Elevation from Satellite data. It enables precise spatial localization of detected objects by accounting for terrain elevation, enhancing situational awareness in complex environments. The system processes visual data in real time, combining perception algorithms with geospatial intelligence to deliver accurate, actionable insights for mission-critical operations. WARDEN is a cutting-edge Mission Management Software designed to enable autonomous and perception-driven capabilities for complex, cooperative missions. It offers a user-centric interface with intuitive Mission Overview features, allowing operators to manage and monitor multi-vehicle operations with ease. WARDEN integrates seamlessly with commercial flight controllers and supports advanced swarming behaviours, enabling coordinated actions among multiple unmanned systems. The platform also includes robust user identity management for secure access control and ensures reliable execution of autonomous missions through scalable mission planning and management tools tailored for diverse operational environments.

Traction & achievements

AUTONOMA has reached major milestones towards its establishment as a competitive and valuable company in the drone and drone-analytics market. Regarding internal non-technical activities, we have designed, and we are executing a clear and agile management structure, and a company business plan, to promote effective and efficient management and collaboration. Concerning external non-technical activities, we have a first version of the company’s and the product’s branding, and we participated in events and forums, including the International Exposition of Thessaloniki (ΔΕΘ) of 2024 and the Greek Space Tech Forum (GSTF) OF 2025, to promote the company and its products to a wider audience, while gathering crucial feedback. In 2025 we were accepted as an incubate at the ESA-BIC Greece Incubator. On technical milestones, the basic components of our algorithms and software have been developed and tested in relevant environment. We are planning on increasing the TRL of our products to generate minimum viable products, and strengthening our presence in the autonomy and unmanned vehicles section.

Team & Why Us

The AUTONOMA team consists of engineers with vast experience on R&D projects and product development, integration, and deployment. We offer a strong and diverse academic background, with the team including software, electrical, aerospace, and aeronautical engineers, holding four MSc titles and three PhD titles across the team members. This offers us the capacity to develop beyond-state-of-the-art technologies and capabilities, and stay ahead of our competition. The team has collaborated on and successfully completed various R&D projects in the past, in the domains of unmanned vehicles and autonomy, having proven their individual and overall skillset and dynamic.

Funding Needs

We are currently operating without immediate funding needs. However, additional capital would empower us to scale our team, accelerate time-to-market, enhance our competitive positioning, and expand our marketing capabilities and reach.
