About
Causaly uses the latest AI technology to read and understand scientific data from a range of sources. It then makes this information readily available to scientists via a conversational assistant, Copilot, alongside advanced, interactive visualizations. With Causaly, scientists can rapidly explore the complex universe of biomedical knowledge, right at their fingertips.
Solution & Product
Causaly uses cutting-edge GenAI combined with a high-precision biomedical knowledge graph to extract and organize biomedical evidence from a range of public and private sources. Researchers can explore this data in a unified platform, via an interactive user interface and an LLM-based natural language Copilot, providing them a comprehensive, fully traceable and auditable view of the entire scientific data on a topic. Causaly’s Workspaces also allows teams to save information, collaborate and track their research projects, building an institutional memory to drive continuous learning and innovation. Ultimately, Causaly’s mission is to empower researchers to accelerate discoveries in biomedicine using transformative AI technologies.
Innovation & Scalability
In 2023, we leveraged cutting-edge GenAI to re-invent our tech stack and build new capabilities: 1) Launched Copilot, a conversational research agent, blending Knowledge Graphs and unstructured data into a seamless, intuitive interface 2) Equipped Causaly with unique multi-sentence semantic evidence extraction and concept disambiguation, via LLM-powered coreference and polysemy resolution algorithms 3) Enabled evidence stratification by organism model by combining deep learning with LLMs
Traction & achievements
Causaly works with 12 of the top 20 largest pharmaceutical & biotech companies, to accelerate scientific discoveries across preclinical research.
Team & Why Us
Yiannis Kiachopoulos (Co-founder & CEO) is a computer scientist and has consulted with the world’s largest companies before co-founding Causaly in 2018. Yiannis holds a Bachelor and Master in Computer Science, an MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and took part in Singularity University’s Future Studies program. Artur Saudabayev (Co-founder & CTO) is a computer scientist and intelligent systems expert, with a background in machine learning and bioinformatics. For 7 years Artur was working in academia on applications of machine learning for vision and language problems in Robotics. Soon after attending Singularity University Future Studies and getting his Master degree in the University of Edinburgh, Artur taught his last course and started building Causaly with Yiannis.
