About
CheckMeIn is an advanced physical presence authentication service developed by Hybridverse Analytics, a spin-off of AUEB. It offers real-time verification of participants' presence at activities in designated locations. This service can serve a wide range of applications in academic and corporate environments as well as in public event management. A key feature of the application is the "events", which refers to any activity that takes place in a physical location (longitude, latitude) during a time interval, where participants check in and check out via the mobile app, confirming their presence. Beyond its basic functionality, CheckMeIn creates a dynamic communication environment (chat room) for each event, allowing seamless interaction among users, facilitating discussions, announcements, and direct communication between organizers and participants.
Solution & Product
CheckMeIn provides users with a global and user-friendly app that allows them to locate nearby events in which they can participate by checking in to them. It delivers tailored solutions for businesses, individuals, and hybrid environments. With flexible and scalable services, CheckMeIn meets a variety of attendance and interaction needs. CheckMeIn has developed a range of products to meet the unique needs of various client segments. The “e-Attendance” product, launched in September 2024 for B2B clients, is specifically designed for organizations and educational institutions and has been implemented in postgraduate programs. Another product is tailored to businesses, particularly in the tourist and hospitality sectors, allowing easy tracking of flexible and remote working hours while minimizing setup and maintenance costs. For B2C clients, two products provide users with the flexibility and convenience to create and manage their own events. All the above-mentioned products enable CheckMeIn to cater to the needs of educational institutions, businesses, event venues, and individual users, making it a versatile tool in the attendance and event management landscape.
Innovation & Scalability
CheckMeIn is the first general-purpose physical presence authenticator app! By streamlining attendance tracking and fostering real-time interaction, CheckMeIn is revolutionizing the way physical presence is validated and managed across various sectors. Its key innovation lies in its system architecture and efficient search algorithms for discovering nearby events, for which a USPTO provisional patent (63/649970, 05/21/24) has been filed and is pending.
Traction & achievements
The initial versions of both the front-end and back-end of the application have been successfully developed and tested in relevant environments. Following thorough testing and highly encouraging feedback from real users in these environments, the prototype was refined and all necessary improvements were implemented. Consequently, the app has been successfully launched on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store and is now fully operational and ready for use. CheckMeIn has already secured agreements with three postgraduate programs in Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), where the app is actively being used to track student attendance and manage lectures (events), concerning the “e-Attendance” product.

Funding Needs
The current funding needs are 500,000€ to support growth over the next two years. This capital will enable us to expand our team, by hiring additional developers, marketing professionals, and customer support staff. These hires will help accelerate the development of the app, allowing us to add key features and capabilities to both the user-facing app and the administrative platform. Furthermore, this funding will allow us to enhance our marketing efforts, focusing on strategic campaigns to promote our different product offers and drive faster adoption in the market. We plan to invest in targeted user acquisition, building brand awareness, and scaling our infrastructure to support the anticipated growth in user demand. Overall, this funding will be critical in positioning us for long-term success and expansion.
CheckMeIn verifies attendance at physical events and creates a social network for the participants.
