About
The future of mobility is here, and it's powered by UxVs and ground robotic vehicles. Drops Smart Hubs develops a dynamic and interconnected marketplace where drone operators and B2B/B2G stakeholders come together to engage in a convenient and secure environment for all parties. Our focus is on creating a smart aerial bridge network that facilitates various drone and smart vehicle operations, offering charging capabilities and cargo hosting services. Our vision is to revolutionise the industry by creating Greeceās first "drone hub", strategically positioning our drone hubs in key areas such as marinas, harbours and other prominent locations.
Solution & Product
By establishing drone-ports in key locations across Greece, our company enables seamless and effective autonomous and ad-hoc remote operations and provides a comprehensive solution. These state-of-the-art drone-ports will serve as well-equipped hubs offering designated take-off and landing areas, addressing the challenges of finding suitable locations, ensuring safe and efficient operations and complying with airspace regulations. Additionally, they will provide essential support services such as charging stations ensuring uninterrupted operations, secure storage, and on-site expertise, ensuring the smooth functioning and longevity of drone operations. By providing easily accessible and well-equipped locations, we bring together industry stakeholders, operators, and technology providers, we facilitate knowledge sharing, partnerships, and innovation, further advancing the field of autonomous and ad-hoc remote operations in Greece.
Innovation & Scalability
The versatility and adaptability of Drone Smart Hubs plays a critical role in supporting our growth and expansion. By understanding evolving industry demands and adapting our services accordingly, we provide dedicated infrastructure and support services for autonomous and ad-hoc drone operations, and are well-positioned to meet the increasing demand from businesses looking to leverage the full potential of drones in various industries. The agnostic UxV Smart Hub design allows us to offer a wide range of services and applications across different industries and sectors. This flexibility allows us to adapt to different customer needs and respond to changing industry requirements thereby attracting customers from various sectors and expanding our market reach and potential customer base. The major barrier is regulation. The drone industry is subject to evolving regulations and restrictions, while there is no sufficient framework about drone-ports yet, so it's crucial to stay updated with regulatory changes and establish processes to ensure legal compliance. Another issue is scaling operations and expanding our infrastructure to new locations which is complex and capital-intensive. It requires securing suitable sites, obtaining permits, and ensuring a robust logistical framework in order to support the various services.
Traction & achievements
Drops Smart Hubs has demonstrated its ability to comply with legal regulations by assisting in obtaining the first Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) approval in Greece. This was achieved through a collaborative effort with the company's first drone operator. With the acquisition of BVLOS authorization, it is now possible to conduct long-distance autonomous flights, which has the potential to revolutionize drone services in remote and hard-to-reach areas. The company has also received Letters of Intent (LoIs) from drone operators worldwide who are interested in using Drops' facilities. Furthermore, Drops is currently in the process of finalizing two contracts in strategic locations to establish the first hubs in Greece.
