Solution & Product

As a project example, Modihive had been focused on Parkinson's disease symptom monitoring device. It is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by tremor and bradykinesia and is a common neurologic ailment. The prevalence in industrialized countries is estimated to be 0.3%. It is rarely seen in patients under 40 years of age, but the incidence increases with age. The current motor symptoms monitoring methods are based on subjective doctor's visual inspection and scoring Patients on low-resolution UPDRS scale to prescribe Levodopa doses. Modihive created an objective solution, a smart glove that provides precise results and high-resolution UPDRS score. Doctors using the Modihive device solution can prescribe accurate Levodopa medicine. The classic findings of Parkinson's disease are motor symptoms. They include resting tremors, bradykinesia, postural instability, and rigidity. Typically, the symptoms appear first in the upper extremities (occasionally including only one finger or the thumb). The tremor is slower (4-6 Hz) than a classic essential tremor (8-10 Hz). We also focus on customer-oriented prototypes which represent their proof of concept. Modihive has a variety of fields to operate and create prototypes such smart health , heavy industry , sports and smart agriculture.

When it comes to Modihive's smart glove solution, there are competitive devices but with limited functionalities. Due to our invention's superior technical features and revolutionary hardware design users can perform a precise and objective examination of Parkinson’s disease without the presence of a medical representative. Helping them to avoid unnecessary frequent examination visits, and stress, which are extremely important factors for the patients of the specific disease. Having a strong background in product design and prototyping for many years, we can implicate extended features for other applications, like enhancing with EMG sensors, compatibility with VR applications, postural ability analysis with force plates, sports application analysis with gait and motion caption devices, rehabilitation application, prosthetic hand- movement modelization, sign language translation, and communicator. Consequently, there are many possibilities for further product development and Modihive has a high growth potential due to its unique in-house rapid developing and manufacturing methods.

Traction & achievements

From the idea's inception, we conducted extensive research and successfully developed a groundbreaking patent, the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and an impressive series of ten functional prototypes, refining the user experience and functionality. To validate our concept we conducted comprehensive clinical trials in collaboration with leading experts in the field, gathering important data ensuring the product’s efficacy, safety, and performance assessment. As trailblazers in our field, we worked on additional projects in the health sector and managed to deliver successfully several projects such as a wearable health data tracker for COVID-19 patients, a personal spirometer device for Asthma and COPD, and a smart bed mattress that prevents epileptic seizures.
