About

Neptune Zero S.A. is a maritime deep-tech company based in Piraeus, Greece, committed to transforming regulatory and performance reporting in the shipping industry. We have developed the industry’s first fully automated sensor data-driven daily reporting system, combining onboard data acquisition hardware, edge processing, AI-powered data validation, and secure cloud-based reporting. The system generates compliant, real-time performance and emissions reports—eliminating manual input—while enabling captains to digitally sign submissions with traceable credentials. The solution is already commercially deployed, with contracts secured to serve 60 vessels in Year 0. Target customers include operators of bulk carriers, tankers, and container ships, initially in Europe with expansion plans into Japan and Singapore.

Solution & Product

NeptuneZero delivers a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for marine vessels, encompassing onboard hardware, an HMI-driven reporting tool on the Bridge, and a cloud-based visualization platform for the end customer. This system combines proprietary data collection hardware, edge processing capabilities, and AI-driven data validation to generate real-time, accurate reports. It automates the entire process, eliminating manual inputs by capturing sensor data directly from vessel control systems, generating critical operational and compliance reports (e.g., Noon, Arrival, Departure, Port Stay), and securely transmitting all information to AWS-hosted servers. The Human-Machine Interface (HMI), powered by advanced algorithms and AI, further enhances functionality with event detection, anomaly identification, and chat-based data queries, providing intuitive access to deep insights. Designed to meet stringent industry standards, the solution is highly adaptable to vessels of varying infrastructure. Moreover, NeptuneZero offers a flexible pricing model (hardware + subscription), making it accessible for both retrofitted fleets and new builds.

Innovation & Scalability

NeptuneZero maintains a sustainable competitive edge by delivering a deeply integrated, purpose-built solution that far surpasses traditional manual reporting and fragmented digital tools. Unlike competitors offering isolated analytics or sensor platforms, NeptuneZero unifies patent-pending hardware, onboard data processing, and secure cloud reporting into one comprehensive system. Its differentiating edge AI architecture enables robust local data processing even with limited connectivity, ensuring operational resilience and bandwidth efficiency. Engineered to meet current and future regulations (CII, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime), NeptuneZero proactively addresses global decarbonization trends. Strategic partnerships with key marine technology providers like Technava S.A. and Propulsion Analytics further bolster deployment and equipment availability. This ecosystem approach, combined with a strong product roadmap and proven customer ROI, establishes a powerful technological, commercial, and operational advantage. NeptuneZero's modular, edge-to-cloud architecture ensures effortless scalability across diverse vessel types, fleet sizes, and geographies, delivering rapid deployment and consistent functionality irrespective of existing infrastructure. Standardized hardware, easily sourced via established networks, undergoes internal assembly, requiring minimal on-site configuration. Our streamlined installation, significantly faster and more cost-effective due to reduced engineering.

Traction & achievements

Ship operators, especially within the bulk carrier, tanker, and container segments, have repeatedly expressed the need to replace error-prone manual noon reporting with digital alternatives. NeptuneZero’s early traction supports this demand: the company has already secured contracts totalling €420,000 in revenue for Year 0, targeting on/abt 60 vessels by the end of the year. In addition, pilot installations and client feedback have demonstrated a clear preference for automated, real-time reporting over existing manual or semi-digital solutions. The company is member of BIMCO and INTERCARGO and has already participated at the following exhibitions: Europort 2023 @ Rotterdam (prototype), Posidonia 2024 (product/services launched), SMM 2024 @ Hamburg. Also we have participated in many Maritime Forums and Conferences in which we have presented our solution, offerings and differentiations from competitors.
