About
OmniLoc is a deep-tech company developing AI-powered localization and rangefinding solutions for autonomous vehicles, UAVs, robots, and other intelligent systems. Our technology enables precise positioning and distance estimation even when GPS is degraded, jammed, spoofed, or unavailable. OmniLoc combines onboard cameras, inertial sensing, satellite or aerial imagery, and advanced AI to provide resilient real-time localization with reduced dependence on expensive sensors and HD maps. The technology is available as embedded software or as a compact all-in-one localization and rangefinding unit for rapid integration into autonomous platforms. Designed for automotive, robotics, defence, logistics, and UAV applications, OmniLoc supports deployment on leading edge-computing hardware, including NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments platforms. Our goal is to make accurate, scalable, and GPS-independent localization available wherever conventional positioning technologies cannot reliably operate.
Solution & Product
OmniLoc provides AI-powered localization and rangefinding for autonomous vehicles, UAVs, robots, and other intelligent systems operating in GPS-challenged environments. Our core technology combines onboard cameras, inertial sensing, satellite or aerial imagery, and AI-based cross-view matching to estimate precise global position in real time, even when GPS is degraded, jammed, spoofed, or unavailable. At the same time, our rangefinding capability estimates distances to surrounding objects using vision-based methods, reducing dependence on costly dedicated sensors. The solution is available as embedded software or as a compact all-in-one unit integrating camera, IMU, edge processing, localization, and rangefinding in a single device. It is designed for rapid integration into existing autonomous systems and can run on NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments hardware. OmniLoc helps customers reduce sensor cost, improve resilience, and maintain reliable operation in urban canyons, tunnels, remote areas, defence environments, and other locations where conventional positioning systems fail.
Innovation & Scalability
OmniLoc’s innovation lies in combining AI-based cross-view localization, vision-based rangefinding, and sensor fusion into a single lightweight solution that can operate even when GPS is unreliable or unavailable. By matching onboard camera data with satellite or aerial imagery, OmniLoc provides absolute positioning without requiring dense HD maps or expensive multi-sensor configurations. Our technology is designed to address key challenges such as viewpoint differences, repetitive environments, changing illumination, and GNSS-denied operation, while remaining efficient enough for real-time deployment on edge hardware. Scalability is built into the product architecture. OmniLoc can be delivered as embedded software or as a compact all-in-one unit, allowing rapid integration across vehicles, UAVs, robots, and industrial systems. It supports major computing platforms including NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments, and can scale from individual devices to large fleets through software licensing, standardized integration, and reusable geographic reference data.
Traction & achievements
OmniLoc has already demonstrated strong early market traction across automotive, UAV, geospatial, and defence-related applications. We are currently delivering a paid automotive PoC with VinFast, validating our GPS-independent localization technology in Greece, Germany, and Vietnam. We also have a commercial collaboration with SatWays and a UAV PoC with Velos Rotors for GNSS-denied navigation. In parallel, OmniLoc has signed evaluation agreements with TomTom, Mapbox, and GeoPost Vision, while additional discussions are progressing with international automotive, aerospace, and mobility partners. Our technology has been validated on real-world platforms and embedded hardware, including NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments systems. OmniLoc was also selected as the Startup World Cup Greece 2026 winner and will represent Greece at the Global Grand Finale in San Francisco. The company has additionally been selected for the Piraeus Startup Accelerator and has attracted interest from multiple European investors and strategic partners. These achievements validate both the technical maturity of our solution and the growing commercial demand for resilient, GPS-independent localization and rangefinding.
Team & Why Us
OmniLoc is built by a multidisciplinary team combining deep expertise in AI, localization, sensor fusion, embedded systems, and autonomous vehicles. The founding team has collaborated since 2019 and includes Aris Lalos, CEO and Research Director at ATHENA Research Center; Alexandros, CTO, specializing in model-based deep learning; Nikos, AI Lead, focused on multimodal perception and sensor fusion; and Christos, Embedded Systems Lead, with expertise in deploying AI on NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments platforms. Our advantage is the combination of strong research foundations with real-world execution. We have developed proprietary localization technology, transferred it from research into commercial products, and already validated it with automotive, UAV, and geospatial partners. We understand both the algorithmic and system-integration challenges required to move from research prototypes to reliable embedded products. This allows OmniLoc to innovate quickly, integrate efficiently with customer platforms, and build scalable solutions for GPS-denied localization and rangefinding.
Funding Needs
OmniLoc is raising a $750K–$850K pre-seed round to fund an 18-month execution plan focused on converting technical validation into repeatable products, signed follow-on agreements, and recurring revenue. The capital will support four priorities: Validate, Productize, Commercialize and Scale. Funding will be used to complete and convert the current VinFast automotive PoC into a paid Robotaxi programme and secure a follow-on commercial path; productize a commercial automotive SDK, a standardized UAV localization box, and enterprise geospatial processing options; complete Velos Rotors integration and move toward the first paid UAV deployment; and convert GeoPost Vision, TomTom and Mapbox opportunities into paid pilots, enterprise agreements, or joint deployments. The raise will also support new customer acquisition, targeting at least one additional paid automotive PoC and two new paid UAV PoCs. By Month 18, OmniLoc aims to have signed commercial paths for Robotaxi licensing, UAV fleet deployments, and recurring geospatial/enterprise revenue, creating the basis for scalable 2028 growth.
