Pi tech is an AI software company that develops Vicky, an AI-native simulation platform for healthcare training. Vicky combines content creation, clinical simulation, tutoring, assessment and analytics in one platform. Educators provide their own teaching materials, and Vicky turns them into interactive lessons, assessments and simulation labs.Students can access the labs across web, mobile and VR, practice repeatedly, and interact directly with Vicky for real-time guidance. Solution & Product

The problem: health-science departments need to train more future clinicians, but clinical placements, supervisors and simulation-centre capacity are limited. This restricts repeated practice and leaves departments with limited visibility into student performance. Vicky is an AI-native simulation platform for clinical training, built to expand access to practice and make student performance measurable. - Labs run across web, mobile and VR, allowing students to practise repeatedly on devices already available to them. - Students can interact directly with Vicky for real-time guidance. - Educators provide their own teaching materials, which Vicky turns into interactive lessons, assessments and simulation labs. - Every attempt is captured step by step, giving educators a clear view of individual and cohort performance, with data that can be measured and exported. The platform is EU-hosted and GDPR-by-design, and is being developed for readiness under the EU AI Act.

Innovation & Scalability

The core technical innovation is a shared simulation architecture across web, mobile and VR. The same clinical scenario, assessment logic and performance data layer can be delivered across devices, while the interaction model adapts to each interface. This allows departments to make the same training available across a much larger cohort without depending on a dedicated VR setup for every student. The second layer is AI-assisted content creation. Educators provide their own course materials, and Vicky uses them to generate interactive lessons, assessments and simulation labs. The same materials support Vicky's knowledge base, connecting authoring, training and guidance within a single system. This architecture is what makes Vicky scalable. New courses and clinical areas can be added without Pi tech manually developing every experience from scratch. Multi-device delivery also allows institutions to expand access using the hardware already available to students.

Traction & achievements

In the platform's first year of operation, Vicky has been deployed across five Greek university departments. Pi tech is profitable and has grown without outside investment capital, with commercial revenue continuing to increase in 2026. The company has secured EUR 288,000 in non-dilutive funding across seven European research programmes, including Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ projects, and collaborates with more than 50 organisations across Greece and Europe. Vicky is currently at TRL 9. Pi tech plans to open its first seed round in November 2026 to support European expansion.

Pi tech is led by a team combining AI and simulation engineering, product development, university partnerships and European research experience. Petros Papadopoulos, CEO/CTO — leads AI development, simulation architecture and product strategy. Kelly Papadopoulou, COO — leads operations, go-to-market and university partnerships. Alexandros Papadopoulos, CPO — leads product development and user experience. Anestis Papadopoulos, CSO — leads European partnerships and the company’s Horizon Europe, Erasmus+ and Interreg activities. They work alongside a dedicated product and engineering team covering AI, software development, simulation design and platform engineering, as well as a five-member Scientific Advisory Board composed of senior academics, including university deans, department heads and professors in health sciences. The Board reviews and validates Vicky’s educational and clinical content and contributes academic materials to the knowledge base that supports the platform. Funding Needs

Pi tech plans to open its first seed round in November 2026 to accelerate Vicky's expansion across Europe. The platform has been developed, deployed and tested with paying universities over the past two years, supported by customer revenue and non-dilutive European R&D funding. The capital will primarily support product engineering, clinical content and quality assurance, and go-to-market activities across selected European markets. Pi tech will also continue to pursue non-dilutive European funding through Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, cascade funding and related programmes. The company aims to participate as a technology and platform partner, with Vicky at the core of each project. Funded activities may extend the platform through new clinical labs, AI capabilities, multilingual functionality, integrations or validation in new educational settings. The aim is for every project to extend and strengthen Vicky, rather than create a standalone solution.
