The flagship product of RealMINT is Demandio (www.demandio.online), an advanced retail demand forecasting platform. Demandio is already in commercial use by the third-largest retail chain in Greece, as well as other leading companies in the sector. Its innovation and market impact have been recognized with two national awards at the Impact Bite Awards 2022, receiving distinctions as both a Golden Retail Solution and a Platinum Software Solution. RealMINT has implemented a predictive maintenance solution for one of the largest industrial companies in Europe (Aluminium of Greece). More specifically, we have a contract with Metlen for 2 years now regarding the predictive maintenance for aluminium smelter pots achieving high predictive accuracy. To address the market need of inventory management for e-commerce, we are launching eDemandio, a Wordpress Plugins for e-shops built with WooCommerce.

Demandio has been successfully deployed by one of Greece’s largest retail chains, Masoutis, and is actively used by several other major companies in the retail and FMCG space. RealMINT actively collaborates with leading technology firms, including Unisystems, Altair Siemens, OTS and Excelon Partners, to strengthen integration, implementation, and delivery. Our expanding client base now includes Vitex, Enarxis and FIBA, reinforcing our presence across diverse sectors. In the industrial domain, RealMINT has developed a state-of-the-art predictive maintenance solution for Aluminium of Greece, one of Europe’s largest industrial producers. For the past two years, we’ve been under contract with Metlen, providing predictive analytics for aluminium smelter pot maintenance, where we’ve achieved high predictive accuracy—helping to improve uptime, reduce costs, and enhance operational safety. With a growing portfolio of commercial clients, award-winning technology, and deep collaboration with leading IT firms, RealMINT is at the forefront of applied AI innovation in both retail and industrial sectors. RealMINT has completed two startup accelerator programs, Enter-Grow-Go (EGG) of EuroBank and WALK of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with the additional support of Ideas Forward.

Team & Why Us

Prof. Ioannis Vlahavas is a Professor at the Department of Informatics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the Co-Founder and CEO of RealMINT. He is also the founder of the Intelligent Systems Lab (intelligence.csd.auth.gr), a pioneering research group in Artificial Intelligence. With decades of experience in AI and Machine Learning, he has authored over 400 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences, and has led more than 50 R&D projects, many of them at the European level. His academic leadership and applied research have laid the foundation for RealMINT’s cutting-edge innovations. Eleftherios Kouloumpris, Co-Founder and CTO, specializes in industrial Machine Learning and time-series forecasting. He leads the technical development of Demandio, RealMINT’s flagship demand forecasting platform, and brings deep expertise in building scalable, data-driven SaaS systems tailored for real-world business environments. George Liapis, also Co-Founder and CTO, brings advanced expertise in Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning. His work focuses on building intelligent systems capable of adaptive decision-making and behavioral assessment in complex environments.

Funding Needs

To expand the scope and enhance the quality of our products, RealMINT is seeking additional investment. The major portion of the fund will be allocated to strategic team growth and marketing. Key hires will include cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, full-stack developers, software engineers, data scientists, sales managers—to support both the technological advancement and commercialization of our solutions. In addition to talent acquisition, the investment will cover marketing, operations, infrastructure, and customer support, enabling us to scale our services, enter new markets and countries, and maintain a high level of service quality. A portion of the funds will also support participation in major international expos and industry events, allowing us to showcase our products, build global visibility, and establish new strategic partnerships.
