RENVIS was founded in 2017 and soon enough, a team of professionals with complementary skills was created, with the mission to provide business software data-driven solutions.

However, HR Managers are still using spreadsheets and written reports to collect information, recruit and evaluate their employees. As a result, they waste time and get inaccurate results, making the whole process more frustrating.This problem leads HR Departments to search AI based HR tools for talent acquisition and evaluation. Nonetheless, the systems are used today are very complicated and hard to use, containing unnecessary features. This generates a great opportunity for SOFIA DSS to penetrate the market as an innovative & easy to use solution for human resource management. SOFIA is an intelligent solution that helps managers to focus on their most valuable asset, their people, not spreadsheets and written reports. As it is simpler than AI systems and smarter than spreadsheets, it comes to replace complex and obsolete tools. SOFIA is a model and data-driven system that addresses the challenge of personnel evaluation and recruitment. Whether HR Managers need to evaluate the performance of their employees or to assess the skills and personality of candidates, SOFIA enables them to make more exact, fair, and efficient decisions. SOFIA DSS is also applicable in many different sectors of a company: Supply Chain Management for evaluating suppliers/customers, Product Management for evaluating products and deciding whether a new product should be added to the company’s catalogue.

Innovation & Scalability

SOFIA is a SaaS DSS with an API architecture that is designed with modularity and scalability in mind, which means it can relate to other software, such as ERP, to collect data and to receive information about candidates and employees. Our DSS offers the flexibility to create custom-made decision models, by identifying factors and weights. Each factor can have a score from 0 to 10 and the calculation method currently used is the weighted average. However, the scores’ calculation method is elastic and can be modified according to the industry’s needs.

Our competitors provide alternative solutions for HRM but are complex, not flexible enough to fit any industry or are not offered at such attractive subscription pricing levels. In summary, the unique selling point of SOFIA DSS is that it is the best simple and simultaneously innovative system for personnel evaluation.

Traction & achievements

During our journey RENVIS was: 1) Funded by the Data Pitch Acceleration Programme to develop SOFIA DSS in cooperation with Greiner Packaging. Data Pitch is a 6-month EU-funded innovation programme which brings together corporate and public-sector organisations that have data with startups and SMEs that work with data. RENVIS was one of the 47 selected companies among 250 applicants. 2) Selected to be part of the 2020 Data Market Services Programme to further develop and promote SOFIA DSS. DMS is a six-month acceleration programme which provides support and services with the aim to boost European data-centric SMEs and startups. RENVIS was selected as one of the 50 startups among 200+ applicants.
3) Affiliated with Knack, 4) Affiliated with The Open Data Institute 5) Developed Gaspar, a system that predicts the success of gambling games. 6) Developed a solution for Project Proposals. 7) Awarded “Gold Partner” of Bitrix24. 8) Developed Project Expenses, an application for project management.

Our team has experience in R&D (24y), Consulting & Law (29y), Software development (10y) and Technology Transfer, IPR & Innovation (09y). Regarding our background, we have 2 PhD, 1 MBA, 2 MSc and 6 BSc in multiple academic disciplines such as: Computer Engineering, Supply Chain & Risk Management, Law, Economics, Information Systems, Signal Processing etc. We have also expertise in AI EU digital SME alliance, adult training and many publications.

Funding Needs

Currently we are looking for Seed Funding. The funds will be used to improve and test the next SOFIA DSS versions that will be based on BI, AI and ML technologies. Additionally, we will invest on marketing and promotional activities. We need to, more specifically, identify and reach out to our target market, promote our products through event participation, networking activities and direct contacts, as we plan to expand into different industries and geographic areas.
