About

At Terra Robotics P.C., our mission is to transform the agricultural landscape by addressing critical pain points for farmers, specifically through our innovative autonomous weeding technology. We are committed to providing effective and sustainable solutions that not only enhance productivity but also reduce environmental impact. By combining cutting-edge technology with a comprehensive understanding of farmers' needs, we aim to develop a holistic AI-driven platform that delivers real-time data and insights. This enables farmers to make informed decisions, paving the way for a more sustainable agricultural future. Our vision is to cultivate a harmonious relationship between technology and nature, fostering the production of abundant, high-quality food while alleviating key challenges faced by farmers. Through our advanced platform, we aspire to support the agricultural community with actionable insights and data-driven recommendations that drive the evolution towards precision agriculture. We seek to lead the industry by addressing the essential need for effective weeding solutions while advancing precision farming practices, ultimately creating a sustainable agricultural ecosystem that benefits both farmers and the environment.

Solution & Product

Our technology leverages advanced robotics, AI, and laser systems to create an autonomous weeding solution for vegetable farmers and beyond. At the heart of our system is the smart laser weeder ZETA – Zeroing Weeds, an attachment tool for tractors or autonomous vehicles that provides precise weeding, significantly reducing the need for chemical herbicides and manual labor. Equipped with advanced cameras and AI, ZETA accurately identifies and targets weeds in real-time, eliminating them without harming crops, thus improving yield and sustainability. ZETA operates 24/7, adapting to various crops and field conditions. Its eco-friendly approach aligns with the EU Green Deal’s goals by minimizing chemical inputs and promoting sustainable agriculture. ZETA addresses key agricultural challenges, offering an efficient, scalable solution that boosts productivity while supporting the global shift toward environmentally responsible farming.

Innovation & Scalability

ZETA – Zeroing Weeds, represents a breakthrough in agricultural innovation, combining cutting-edge robotics, AI, and laser technology to deliver a precise and efficient weeding solution. With its advanced AI-driven plant recognition system, ZETA accurately distinguishes crops from weeds, enabling targeted laser treatment that eliminates weeds without harming crops. This real-time identification significantly improves weeding precision, reducing the need for chemical herbicides and contributing to sustainable agriculture in line with the EU Green Deal. Unlike traditional methods, ZETA operates 24/7, maximizing productivity while adapting to a wide range of crops and field conditions, offering a versatile solution that enhances farming practices. Scalability is at the core of ZETA’s design. Its modular, tractor-compatible structure allows deployment across various farm sizes, from small family farms to large commercial operations. This adaptability, combined with its global market potential, ensures that ZETA can scale beyond Europe, meeting the growing demand for eco-friendly agricultural solutions worldwide. With low entry barriers and the ability to form strategic partnerships with equipment manufacturers, ZETA is primed for widespread adoption. Additionally, its customizable software and hardware make it a continually evolving product, tailored to meet the unique needs of farmers globally.

We are happy to see that our idea is fully aligned with the EU's green deal vision. Since our company registration we have participated in several AgriTech Business competitions and we are excited to see our idea as a finalist in almost all of them.

Specifically,
- 6th Annual John & Mary Pappajohn Business Plan Award: Top-5 Overall - Granted financial award
- Trophy-Τροφή Challenge: Top-10 finalist in AgriTech Startups
- 11th NBG Business Seeds: Selected for NBG Business Seeds Accelerator program
- Farm2Fork Hackathon 2020: Top 20 finalist - Granted Pitch mentoring
- Venture Impact Award 2020: Qualified in the 2nd phase.
- agROBOfood 2nd OpenCall 2021: Qualified in the 2nd phase.
- 1st Level-Up Accelerator Bayer Hellas 2022: Selected for Level-Up Accelerator Bayer program
- EIT-Food Seedbed incubator 2022: Selected for EIT-Food Seedbed incubator program
- EIC Accelerator 2024: Full application stage

After completing a series of demos and trials both in Greece and abroad, our product ZETA has demonstrated significant results in weed management effectiveness, reaching Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7. In the coming months, we expect to secure our first product sales and form strategic partnerships to further develop and refine ZETA into a full commercial product.

Team & Why Us

Terra Robotics P.C. is a dynamic start-up founded in 2020, with a dedicated team of 7 professionals (5 full-time and 2 external) based in Northern Greece. Our team brings together expertise in robotics, AI, machine learning, agronomy, and business management, committed to revolutionizing agriculture through autonomous weeding technology. With over 9 years of experience across high-impact projects in sectors such as automotive, software engineering, and agritech, our founders have collaborated with leading companies like Audi, Porsche, Taboola, and Continental AG.
