About
For Mass Transit Providers that struggle to create value through data we created TransiTool a two-sided platform that assists Mass Transit Providers (TPs) to standardize, analyze and publish transport data while providing a digital twin to inform passengers, gather data and offer seamless connection between TPs and Passengers. The initial idea of TransiTool was created after the participation of the team in European Horizon projects where we analyzed the needs of big transport operators like OASA, Fertagus, NS and TMB. TransiTool was incorporated in late 2023 while already having 2 customers- small transport operators in Greece. In the next year, we target to close more than 25 customers in Europe and achieve at least 1 million € in sales. We have an open call for angel investing pre-seed funding of 200 k€ with the aim to expand our leads to sales and participating in big transportation events in Europe (IT-Trans, TRA, Autonomy Paris, Move, World Passengers Festival).
Solution & Product
TransiTool enables services for Operators and Passengers through the interaction and exchange of data between them. Passengers retrieve better information on Mass Transit and create data for TPs which analyze them leading service optimization and better information. TransiTool is a web application that provides various features and tools to Mass Transit Providers in order to standardize, manage, analyze and share transport data. TransiTool consists of a network map where all the transport network can be uploaded and visualized. Network map offers edit options to change the network (i.e. create new routes, stations, trips). Network maps visualizes validated GTFS and NETEX transport data. The user can publish transport data on its own publication page and choose whether he wants to download or share this page with third parties like Google Maps or any other map. At the same time, The user can analyze its network and get valid accessibility and other transportation metrics for the existing network. Moreover, TransiTool offers a variety of APIs to connect data to third party apps.
Innovation & Scalability
TransiTool uses open transportation standards to create interconnectivity between transportation data, creating potential for deeper analysis, combination of different means of transport. The aim is to create seamless mobility in cities, creating a digital twin for passengers. TransiTool is a data management software fully scalable that aspires to be the center of all transport data in Europe.
Traction & achievements
TransiTool already has 5 customers and will reach 25 customers in 2024. We are working with transport Operators in Greece, Romania and Dublin.
