About

Tridrone builds the “pickup-truck of cargo UAVs”. Our €9.3–10 k electric drone lifts 100 kg for 120 km—seven-times the range and up to ten-times the payload of today’s so-called heavy-lifters while costing a tenth of the price. A rugged wood-composite fuselage, 85-90 % COTS parts and quick-swap bays let one airframe haul groceries, blood, seed pellets or cloud-seeding tanks without redesign. Field-strippable like a service rifle, the vehicle is mastered by barely trained staff (whether employees or conscripts) in under two weeks, enabling same-day logistics for archipelago islands, mountain villages and desert outposts. Each electric hop displaces diesel vans, ferries or helicopters and mints tradable carbon credits, turning ESG compliance into cash. By licensing a TRL-9 autopilot suite from PROBOTEK and outsourcing DfM and supply chain to Gembah, we can launch mid-2026, create Greek high-value jobs and attack a €550 M serviceable opportunity spanning rural delivery, precision agriculture, firefighting and climate-tech.

Solution & Product

One platform, all missions. Models share 85-90% identical parts and 90% COTS components, so operators stock one kit for everything. Our structural materials cut weight 40% yet shrug off rough landings; any panel is removed with hand tools and full strip takes minutes. Compartmentalized modules lock in under ten minutes; battery cartridges roll out in < 60 s and even accept refurbished cells. Performance: 120 km at 100 kg (STOVL 50 kg on light), up to 330 kg on the ultra-heavy model now in development; operating cost ≈ €0.12 / kg-km. The PROBOTEK TRL-9 flight stack delivers autonomous BVLOS with redundant FTS chips, geofencing, fleet scheduling and carbon-credit telemetry already certified on >1 M cycles. Assemble-to-Order CKD kits or Made-To-Stock units can be built locally—even by conscripts—giving resilience against tariffs, localisation mandates and data-sovereignty rules.

Innovation & Scalability

Innovation lies in architecture, not a single flashy patent: A. Wood-composite shells formed in jig-less moulds—tooling €25 k, scalable to 500 units/yr, field repairs with epoxy & clamps. B. 85-90 % dual-sourced COTS subsystems—regulators have already seen the parts, so EASA SORA II & FAA BVLOS evidence packs shrink and vendor swaps defeat tariff/ITAR shocks. C Quick-release modules & batteries—one airframe can be repaired in ten minutes, boosting utilisation and ROI. The same tooling stretches to heavier variants by thickening laminates and swapping motors, so range, payload and price evolve without redesign. Assemble-to-Order CKD kits let regional VARs/JVs claim local-content subsidies or fit mil-spec electronics. Software scales effortlessly: PROBOTEK’s TRL-9 stack already supports multiple advanced functions. Combined, the platform addresses a €10.1 B SAM (last-mile delivery, aerial application, firefighting, surveillance) and can be replicated continent-by-continent with minimal cap-ex.

Traction & achievements

• Prototype: Founder built a 100 kg / 120 km demonstrator for €40 k—hardware now TRL-4. • Manufacturing: Binding Gembah quotation (€30 k) secures DfM, tooling and global sourcing; path to TRL-6 in 6-7 months de-risked. • Software: PROBOTEK autopilot is TRL-9, >1 M incident-free cycles, 20 + patents—zero fresh-code risk. • Regulatory: Ex-FAA BVLOS examiner Chris Fernando has drafted EASA SORA II & FAA BVLOS dossier templates. • Supply chain: Dual-source catalogue closed; battery scaling addressed with multiple alternatives. • Commercial: Under discussion with potential early adopters, target LOIs ≥ €120 k by Q1 2027. • Funding: Soft commitments from one Greek seed VC and France-based Aerospace Angels; several US angels interested upon C-Corp flip. • Financials: Worst-case stress test still yields > 60 % gross margin; growth plan reaches >€10M revenue in Year 5. • Hardware, certified software, mapped regulation and engaged pilots put Tridrone within 18 months of first revenue.

Team & Why Us

• Christos Vozikis – Founder, CEO & Head of Product (full-time). Hardware PM who bootstrapped the first prototype; owns roadmap & GTM. • Dr Haris Spyropoulos – Business & Sales Advisor. Serial entrepreneur, ex-MIT StartSmart mentor; €12 M raised across three exits. • George Delaportas – Technology Shareholder & Solution Architect. CEO PROBOTEK; 20 + patents, TRL-9 UAV stack now licensed to Tridrone. • Chris Fernando – Regulatory Affairs Advisor. Ex-FAA; BVLOS certification specialist; faculty at Florida Tech & Kent State. • Christopher Marot – Hardware & Ruggedisation Advisor. CEO HEKA Inc.; avionics engineer & US DoD supplier. Complementarity: Christos converts field pain to product; Haris turns milestones to money; George removes software risk; Chris Fernando helps fast-tracks paperwork; Christopher hardens electronics. A 15 % ESOP and outsourced DfM keep burn lean yet attract talent. This cross-functional engine can spec, certify and ship the pickup-truck of UAVs—fast.

Funding Needs

Executing the whole go-to-market costs are feasible with just €230,000; more funding can provide us a longer runway. Raising up to €330 000 via capped SAFE/convertible notes. Multiple valuation methods (e.g., Berkus Method) converge >$2M. Immediately post-equity close we will leverage the Hellenic Development Bank’s low-interest loan & grant bundle (TEPIH-III, ≤ €400 k) and pursue Horizon-EU grants in 2026, adding non-dilutive capital. Use of funds: build & test 5 airframes, file EASA SORA II and FAA BVLOS, start paid pilots worth ≥ €120 k, stand-up local assembly, and complete NVCA-grade data-room for Series A by early 2028. Stress-tested models show break-even in mid-2028 with just 50-60 units sold and gross margins consistently above 60 %.
