About

United Scholars is a technology and digital product company focused on building data-driven platforms that transform complex information into structured knowledge, clearer understanding and better decisions. The company develops scalable software products around problems where users face large amounts of information, fragmented workflows or difficult choices and need a more structured, measurable and intuitive digital experience. Its first live vertical is AOTH Scholar, an EdTech platform designed for structured learning and high-stakes exam preparation. AOTH Scholar serves as the company’s first proof of execution, demonstrating United Scholars’ ability to combine product design, software engineering, structured content, data and user analytics into a complete digital platform. United Scholars’ long-term strategy is to build and operate independent digital products across knowledge-intensive domains, each with its own brand and market, while sharing a common philosophy: complexity → intelligence → clarity → better decisions.

Solution & Product

United Scholars’ first live product is AOTH Scholar, a digital learning and exam-preparation platform initially focused on Economics for the Greek national examinations. The platform combines structured curriculum content with interactive practice, drills, assessment, exam-style cases, progress tracking, mistake analysis and Video Masterclasses. Rather than functioning as a simple digital question bank, AOTH Scholar creates a continuous learning loop in which student activity generates useful information about performance, weaknesses and progress. The product is being developed as a two-sided learning environment. Students receive structured practice, feedback and exam preparation, while educators can gain visibility into student activity, attempts, mistakes and learning progress through dedicated teacher-facing functionality. The underlying product architecture is designed so that learning logic, assessment mechanisms and platform services can be reused across additional curricula and future educational verticals without rebuilding the product from scratch.

Innovation & Scalability

AOTH Scholar is designed as a learning and assessment engine rather than a digital question bank. Curriculum units, drills, Exam Cases, attempts, mistakes, progress and educator visibility are structured as interconnected data and workflow layers, creating a measurable learning journey and actionable intelligence for both students and educators. The platform separates core product logic from curriculum-specific content. This allows the same technology core to support GEL, EPAL, additional subjects and new assessment formats with limited marginal technology redevelopment. Scalability therefore operates across three dimensions: content, through additional curricula and subjects; users and institutions, from individual students and teachers to tutoring centres, schools and larger educational deployments; and business models, from B2C subscriptions to teacher-led B2B2C and institutional SaaS/licensing. Over time, this structured data layer can also support AI-assisted learning orchestration and teacher intelligence, identifying patterns, risks and recommended next actions while keeping educational decisions under human control. The result is a reusable technology and data foundation capable of serving significantly more learners, educators and institutions without rebuilding the platform for each new vertical.

Traction & achievements

AOTH Scholar has demonstrated strong early market validation and capital-efficient digital distribution. During its initial market-validation period, the platform attracted more than 4,000 unique website visitors and over 6,000 page views. Since launch, its TikTok content has generated more than 1.4 million video views, 11,900 profile views, 4,200 likes and 2,500 shares, supported by only about €200 in paid promotion across 29 videos. Since launch, the product has evolved substantially, adding structured learning, interactive drills, progress and mistake tracking, purpose-built Exam Cases, Video Masterclasses and teacher-facing functionality. A key achievement is the ability of a bootstrapped company to design, build, launch, validate and continuously expand a production-grade digital platform with limited external resources.

Team & Why Us

United Scholars combines senior market-facing experience, direct understanding of its users and strong operational capability. Founder Tasos Kontaxis brings 19 years of experience in journalism across press and radio and 19 years as Director of Marketing & Communications for a major telecommunications and technology group, with deep expertise in communication, audience development, positioning and commercial strategy. The founding team also includes Christos Kontaxis, a Business Administration student at the University of Piraeus, contributing direct insight into the needs and behaviour of the student generation, and Georgia Stergiou, Georgia Stergiou, with vocational training in Accounting and six years of experience as an Assistant Director in HR roles, adding organisational and people-management expertise. AOTH Scholar has also been developed with advisory input from university academics, including experts from the University of West Attica and the University of Piraeus, as well as business economists and experienced AOTH tutors. This combination of market experience, user proximity, operational capability and domain expertise supports a capital-efficient growth strategy based on content-led acquisition, B2C subscriptions and B2B2C educator partnerships.

Funding Needs

United Scholars is seeking growth capital to scale an already live and validated product, rather than to finance the development of an MVP. AOTH Scholar has evolved into a modular learning and assessment platform combining structured curriculum, drills, Exam Cases, attempts, mistake and progress tracking, gamification, Video Masterclasses and teacher-facing intelligence. Funding would accelerate its transition into a scalable education platform. The same technology core can support additional curricula and subjects and multiple distribution models: B2C subscriptions, teacher-led B2B2C adoption, tutoring centres, schools and institutional deployments. Investment would focus on curriculum expansion, Student–Teacher Intelligence, analytics, conversion and retention, institutional capabilities and the gradual development of an AI-assisted intelligence layer that can analyse learning activity, identify patterns and risks, recommend next actions and support educators in managing student progress — while keeping educational decisions under human control. The long-term opportunity is to scale one reusable technology and data core across more learners, educators, curricula and institutions, with limited marginal technology redevelopment.
