Solution & Product

Hyfense is an advanced eHealth platform designed to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs) by empowering healthcare professionals with real-time data, analytics, and decision support tools. It seamlessly integrates with existing EHR and LIMS systems, ensuring comprehensive surveillance and reporting. Data is securely anonymized to protect patient privacy while enabling robust epidemiological analysis. Key features include customizable dashboards, predictive analytics, and clinical decision support that provide actionable insights for infection control and antimicrobial stewardship. Hyfense also provides a set of Audit Tools to monitor and improve safety precaution procedures. With a focus on regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, Hyfense supports a proactive, data-driven approach to reducing AMR and HAIs, ultimately improving patient outcomes and public health.

Innovation & Scalability

Hyfense is designed with a forward-thinking, innovative architecture that leverages cutting-edge data analytics, real-time surveillance, and gamification to empower healthcare professionals in combating AMR and HAIs. It integrates seamlessly with diverse EHRs, LIMS systems, and, potentially, public health databases, enabling a unified, actionable view of critical infection control metrics. Hyfense employs advanced predictive analytics and machine learning to identify emerging threats and optimize antimicrobial stewardship efforts, making it both innovative and effective. Built on a scalable, cloud-native architecture, Hyfense supports dynamic workload management and can effortlessly scale horizontally to accommodate increasing data volumes and user bases. Its modular design and API-first approach ensure adaptability, allowing for easy integration of new functionalities and compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. This flexibility positions the platform to meet the demands of healthcare systems of all sizes, from small clinics to large hospital networks, ensuring long-term impact and continuous improvement in public health outcomes.

Traction & achievements

Our platform is currently at TRL-2, signifying that we are in the early stages of development and are actively refining our solution toward full delivery. Despite this, we have already earned significant trust: one of Greece's most prominent private hospitals has partnered with us to develop a pilot program, recognizing the potential mutual benefits of our innovative approach to combating AMR and HAIs. This collaboration not only validates our technology but also provides invaluable real-world insights for further development. Additionally, Hyfense has been awarded a grant of €275,000 to support its initial development requirements, underscoring our credibility and the strong market interest in our solution.

Team & Why Us

Our team at Valmore Technologies brings over 20 years of combined expertise in innovative software development. Co-founder Nasos Katsaoúnis, a Business Engineering Executive, has led complex IT projects for high-profile clients and holds certifications such as PMP, MCP, and Scrum Master & Product Owner. Co-founder Dimitris Ampelakiotis, our Software Architect, is a self-taught expert with extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale projects in Greece and internationally, including leading American initiatives. Dr. Flora Kontopídou, our Lead Subject Matter Expert, is a seasoned Infectious Diseases and Public Health specialist who has played a pivotal role in national infection control efforts and antimicrobial resistance strategies, serving for many years as our country's representative in WHO and ECDC. Backed by a fantastic team of skilled software and data engineers, our combined technical expertise, decades of experience, and proven success in developing innovative applications uniquely position us as pioneers in tackling AMR and HAIs. Leveraging valuable lessons learned and established development tools, we deliver a robust, scalable system that meets the evolving needs of the modern healthcare sector.

Funding Needs

Our funding requirements are focused primarily on software & data engineering and promoting our efforts. We are seeking an investment of approximately €500,000 over the next 18 months to refine our solution, complete the pilot project with our trusted partner hospital, and accelerate the integration of advanced analytics, machine learning, and enhanced data security features. For the most part, these funds will support further R&D, the expansion of our core team with accomplished software engineers and data scientists, and scaling our operations to higher TRL levels. Additionally, investment will cover regulatory compliance, certification processes, and market rollout efforts. With early-stage grant support already in place, this funding is crucial to transition our promising technology into a robust, scalable, and market-leading solution that meets the evolving needs of modern healthcare systems.
