Additionally, the high administrative burden, the old fashioned service delivery channels, the weak service design and the “one size fits all” approach often discourage people and businesses to use public services. At the same time the waste tracking process is outdated and vulnerable. As a result illegal disposal is a global unsolved problem. Finally, the process of finding the right way to dispose an item properly, is many times leading to dead ends and has great financial impact to businesses. A great space for improvement in public and private sector waste related activities has been identified. The use of real life data and technology can radically improve what was previously considered state of the art. Wastecloud is doing that through the digitisation of an asset intensive sector.

Wastecloud is a digital platform that is leveraging infrastructure, assets and human behaviour to create a new waste management paradigm. In an infrastructure and thus capital intensive sector we are using digital technology to minimise cost, increase environmental performance. Our goal is to eliminate illegal waste disposal while increasing landfill diversion rates, enabling compliance and introducing Circular Economy practices in their operations. Ultimately we aim at significant cost reduction and outstanding environmental performance. In order to do that we are working hand in hand with service providers enabling them to level up their services, grow their client base and secure their income.
